From the Garden of Eden to the people in your life right now, some things never change. The Bible portrays the serpent as the craftiest of all creatures, deceptive, calculating, and consistent in nature. That's the part we forget! A snake doesn't become something different just because you love it, trust it, or give it time. It remains exactly what it is. The warning isn't new. We keep needing the reminder. Be careful.

And it reminded me that many people are carrying pain they never healed from. Sometimes that pain shows up in how they speak, react, and treat others. This doesn’t excuse hurtful behavior, but it reminds us how important healing is. May God help us heal from what hurt us so we don’t unknowingly hurt someone else.
