Living Proof of God's Grace
I’m 54 years old and grateful to call Atlanta home. I’ve been married for many years, and together my husband and I have raised five amazing children who have now blessed us with eight beautiful grandchildren. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
I grew up as a preacher’s kid, surrounded by faith from an early age. I knew the scriptures, the prayers, and what it meant to believe in God. But life has a way of testing your faith beyond what you ever imagined.
I’ve survived abuse. I became a mother at just 16 years old. I’ve experienced heartbreak, betrayal, and seasons that left me questioning my worth and wondering how I would keep going. There were times when I felt broken in ways no one else could see.
But God carried me through it all.
What could have destroyed me became part of my testimony. Those painful seasons taught me resilience, discernment, and the kind of grace you hold onto when life feels overwhelming. They reminded me that even in our darkest moments, God never lets go.
For 26 years, I’ve worked faithfully while quietly battling low self-esteem, overthinking, people-pleasing, and the pressure to hold everything together. For a long time, I gave grace to everyone except myself. These days, I’m learning how to let go of what no longer serves me and finally extend that same grace inward.
Some of my greatest inspirations come from the simple moments, hearing my grandchildren laugh, sitting with family, or whispering quiet prayers when no one else is around. Those private conversations with God have carried me through nights I never thought I’d survive.
My journey hasn’t been perfect. It’s been painful, messy, refining, and full of lessons. But through every setback and every blessing, God has shown me that nothing is wasted. Every tear, every trial, and every disappointment helped shape the woman I am today.
I’m not who I used to be.
I’m an overcomer.
I’m a believer in Jesus Christ.
I’m still growing, still healing, and still becoming the woman God created me to be.
This space comes straight from my heart. It’s a place where I share encouragement, reflection, and prayer from someone who has walked through difficult seasons and found God faithful through all of them.
