- 1 green bell pepper, diced

- 1 red bell pepper, diced

- 1 onion, diced

- ½ tbsp garlic (optional)

- 1 jalapeño, diced (remove seeds if you prefer less heat)

- ½ tsp each: paprika, onion powder, garlic powder (adjust to taste)

- 1–2 cups fried Hillshire turkey sausage or Roger Wood turkey/pork sausage

- ¼ cup vegetable broth (for moisture)

- Cooked rice (about 2 cups for serving)

- Olive oil or butter for sautéing

Directions

1. Prepare your base

Cook your rice on the stovetop or in a rice cooker.

2. Sauté the veggies

Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions, bell peppers, and jalapeño. Cook until soft and lightly caramelized.

3. Add the protein

Stir in sliced sausage and let it brown. Add drained canned salmon, gently breaking it apart and mixing it with the veggies.

4. Season well

Add your paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and any additional seasonings you love. Let everything cook together for a few minutes.

5. Serve

Spoon the salmon‑sausage mixture over warm rice and enjoy.
